Status: Autaxo v8.0.0 has been released. Feature availability depends on the selected plan and configured integrations.
The Highlights
Girocode: Pay by Scan
Every invoice now carries a Girocode (EPC QR code): customers scan it with their banking app, and the recipient, IBAN, amount, and payment reference are already filled in. This removes the need to type payment details manually and avoids transposed digits in bank transfers.
The code is active on all invoices and can be turned off in the invoice settings at any time.
Article Items for Everything That Repeats
Detailing, transfer, registration, warranty: recurring invoice line items are now maintained once as articles — with article number, name, description, price, category, and tax case. In the invoice draft, a single click inserts them as a complete line item.
Articles that are no longer needed can be archived. Invoices that have already been issued keep their reference and remain unchanged.
Payment Terms and an Editor That Calculates as You Go
Every invoice carries a payment term in days — 14 by default — from which Autaxo calculates the due date and writes it into the e-invoice. In the draft, the legal notice texts appear right as the invoice is typed, every line item can be expanded and entered via the net price as well, and hints about incomplete details appear directly at the affected line item.
The tax case is selected through an explanatory dialog that shows for each case when it applies. Cases that do not apply to a line item are shown with the reason — keeping the selection transparent at all times.
Drive Log for Dealer Plates
Anyone driving on German 06 dealer plates must document every trip completely under § 41 FZV. The new drive log takes care of that: a trip is planned with the details known in advance — purpose, vehicle, start — and completed later.
Overlaps on the same vehicle, plate, or driver are detected reliably, and a trip can only be finalized once all legally required details are in place. If a planned trip remains open past its start time, a task serves as a reminder.
Tasks as a Kanban Board
Tasks are now organized on a Kanban board with the columns To-Do, In Progress, Blocked, and Done, managed with drag and drop. Custom tasks can be created, assigned to colleagues, and filtered by assignee.
The order within each column can be arranged freely and is stored for the dealership. Completed tasks move to the archive — traceable and retrievable at any time.
Shorter Paths and More Clarity
Cmd/Ctrl + K opens the command palette, which not only searches but acts: create a vehicle, create a customer, start an invoice, upload a receipt, jump to any page, switch design and language. Entering a VIN brings the vehicle lookup to the top — with the vehicle right below it if it is already in stock. In the sidebar, tasks have moved into the DMS and VAT ID validation and DATEV into accounting — right where the work happens.
The customer page now follows the structure of the vehicle file and organizes deals, files, letters, lead conversations, DATEV, VAT checks, and notes into tabs; if not all tabs fit on one line, a “More” menu gathers the rest. In every table, the action column stays pinned to the right edge so “Open” remains reachable on narrow screens, and the configured number of rows applies per table and is stored permanently.
More Improvements
- Labeling of AI-edited images: AI-edited vehicle images receive corresponding labeling (EU AI Act).
- News directly in the app: The new megaphone icon in the header collects all product news and shows a dot as soon as something new arrives.
- Eight new guided tours: Step-by-step guidance through the cash book, the first invoice, DATEV export, inviting the team, the market value report, the photo studio, publishing a website, and topping up credits. Only tours included in the booked plan are shown.
