Current release Live v 7.2.0 August 03, 2026

  1. Minor v 7.2.0 August 03, 2026

Autaxo 7.2: The Vehicle File, Reimagined

A newly structured vehicle detail page with responsive tabs, expanded VIN and OEM data, more page context for Carlo, and refined DATEV and data workflows.

Inventory and vehicles Contracts and invoices AI and automation DATEV and accounting UX and performance

    The Highlights

    • New responsive vehicle detail page: The Overview, Notes, Invoices, Photos, Purchase, and Sale tabs bring every important workflow together in one clear place—on desktop and mobile. Metric cards provide quick insight on the Overview tab, while the photo studio has a dedicated home under Photos.
    • VIN and OEM data in context: Factory tables, the manufacturer logo, and clearer origin labels make vehicle data easier to understand. Cached lookup results and coordinated procedures ensure that each VIN lookup is charged only once. A new OEM data lookup is also integrated with the platform connection.
    • More orientation throughout the vehicle file: A refined details header, compact counters, the familiar vehicle selection dialog for VIN assignment, and smooth card animations make tab changes and assignments even more pleasant. The dealership area and header now adapt flexibly to the screen size as well.
    • Carlo knows the page and tab: The AI assistant understands what each Autaxo page contains, takes the open tab into account, and can link citations directly to it. When personal assistance is useful, a new support card offers the right route through WhatsApp or email.
    • Further refinements to DATEV and vehicle data: DATEV access is cached per dealership, and open BDS jobs are checked automatically. Existing deal notes are now available as proper vehicle notes, source data has been completed, and other costs precisely reflect the allocated amount after the vehicle’s deal line is taken into account.

The vehicle file is now an even clearer hub for data, documents, images, transactions, and intelligent assistance.

  2. Minor v 7.1.0 July 31, 2026

Autaxo 7.1: Embedded ZUGFeRD XML, New Tax Treatments, and a Major DATEV Update

Autaxo has supported e-invoices for a long time; v7.1 embeds EN 16931 XML directly in the PDF instead of providing it separately. It also adds reverse charge and chain transactions involving the EU or third countries, plus customizable G/L accounts, customer/vendor accounts, and posting text for DATEV.

Contracts and invoices Tax logic DATEV and accounting AI and automation Marketplaces UX and performance

    The Highlights

    • ZUGFeRD now delivered as one file: Autaxo has supported e-invoices for a long time. With v7.1, the EN 16931-compliant XML data is embedded directly in the PDF instead of being provided as a separate file. The resulting hybrid ZUGFeRD invoice keeps individual print notes separate from the structured invoice data.
    • Reverse charge and chain transactions: New tax treatments cover reverse charge and chain transactions involving the EU or third countries. Recipient checks, suitable preselection, and helpful guidance support the workflow, while the selected tax treatment carries directly into the invoice.
    • Consistent invoice presentation: The editor, line-item table, and PDF follow the same logic. Totals are neatly aligned, VAT is summarized by rate with the remuneration information required by Section 14(4)(7) of the German VAT Act, and tax notes follow the line-item order.
    • Major DATEV update: G/L accounts and customer/vendor accounts can now be customized. Posting text is editable as well, allowing the handoff to be aligned more closely with the tax advisor’s workflows.
    • Further refinements to Studio and AI: Existing images in demo dealership accounts can be enhanced directly with AI. Image classification and mask composition are more precise, while modernized AI infrastructure and leaner workflows make document imports on the Lite plan faster.

Marketplace navigation, dealership-specific Zernio profiles, external IDs, plan upgrades in the customer portal, integration workflows, and the document editor have also been expanded further.

  3. Major v 7.0.0 July 26, 2026

New Website Editor, Lead Management, and Improved Listing Management

Autaxo 7.0 introduces a new website editor and centralized lead management. It also makes mobile.de and AutoScout24 easier to manage and further refines document, accounting, and account-security workflows.

Marketplaces Inventory and vehicles Contracts and invoices Tax logic DATEV and accounting AI and automation UX and performance

Status: Autaxo v7.0.0 has been released. Feature availability depends on the selected plan and configured integrations.

    The Highlights

Improved Management of mobile.de and AutoScout24

The management of the existing mobile.de and AutoScout24 integrations has been extensively refined. Listings for both platforms are now even easier to publish, update, and remove directly from Autaxo. Data and images are synchronized reliably for each platform, keeping the current status transparent in one place.

Inventory transfers have also been improved. The revised import wizard scans existing platform inventory and imports multiple vehicles in one run. VIN lookup and listing matching help assign vehicles correctly. The price and last modification date are already visible during selection.

New Website Editor with Custom Domains, SEO, and Contact Inquiries

With v7, the new website editor is available directly in Autaxo. Dealers can design their website, connect current vehicle inventory, and publish it on a custom domain. The secure connection is set up and managed automatically.

New SEO improvements help prepare dealer websites cleanly for search engines and improve visibility without requiring dealers to maintain technical settings themselves. Contact inquiries appear clearly in Autaxo and are also sent by email. A website legal-check report, additional templates, and a vehicle-details view for current inventory are included as well. Images are optimized automatically for the website, and websites that are no longer needed can be removed completely.

New Lead Management for Faster Responses

The new lead management brings inquiries from activated channels into one central inbox. Incoming leads are automatically matched to the right customers and vehicles, contact details are captured in a structured format, and concise summaries give the team a quick overview.

Channel availability depends on the configured integrations. The WhatsApp integration remains marked as “available soon” and is intended for existing business numbers.

One Document Workflow for Every Template

The document area now uses a unified draft, allowing documents of every supported type to be edited and reviewed before final generation.

The workflow now covers letters, offers, delivery notes, credit notes, handover protocols, pre-contractual information, and confirmations of arrival, among other document types. Letters can be sent directly by email. Dedicated document sequences with configurable prefixes, starter templates, and dealership defaults keep every document consistent and traceable. Users now explicitly choose the template at generation time.

More Support for Third-Country Chain Transactions

Autaxo now also supports non-taxable sales in chain transactions involving a third country. The corresponding invoice wording and DATEV mapping are stored together with the transaction.

Debtor and creditor numbers and DATEV accounts can now be overridden manually when required, and each dealership can configure the order of its booking text. Manual cash book entries are included in exports, and the invoice date on reversal invoices can be adjusted.

    Optional Two-Factor Authentication

Accounts can now be protected with a second factor through an authenticator app or SMS. During sign-in, an additional security code is requested alongside the password. Sensitive credentials for connected platforms are stored securely.

Note: SMS-based 2FA is currently enabled for German phone numbers. Authenticator-app enrollment is available independently of SMS.

    More Improvements

    • More working context for Carlo: The AI assistant takes the currently open page into account, shows tasks in the sidebar, and presents approvals, sources, and working steps more compactly.
    • Faster vehicle and customer maintenance: Customer records can be edited directly in tables, file uploads follow a unified workflow, and existing vehicles can be enriched with complete Vincario data through VIN decoding.
    • Everyday refinements: Month names now follow the selected language. The financial dashboard has been refined, tasks are clearly visible in the sidebar, and getting started with a newly created dealership has been streamlined.
  4. Minor v 6.2.0 July 02, 2026

Autaxo 6.2: Dealer Referrals, New Search, and AI Integration Through MCP

The dealer referral program is live and pays you a €75 reward for every dealer you refer. Also new: search now handles typos, guided tours simplify onboarding, and MCP connects AI assistants directly to Autaxo.

AI and automation UX and performance Inventory and vehicles DATEV and accounting

    The Highlights

The Dealer Referral Program Is Live

The referral program announced in v6.1 is now enabled. You receive a €75 reward for every dealer you refer, and the referred dealer starts with a 20% discount for 3 months. Your account shows every referral received, including the referred dealer’s name. Full program details are available directly in Autaxo.

New Search: Find, Do Not Hunt

Search has been redesigned. It now returns the right results even with typos and approximate spelling through fuzzy search, and it displays your recently viewed records when opened. One click takes you back to where you last worked.

    Guided Tours for Getting Started

New interactive product tours guide users step by step through the dashboard and their first completed transaction. Progress is saved, making the tours ideal for onboarding new employees.

Connect AI Assistants: Autaxo as an MCP Server

Autaxo can now connect to AI assistants such as Claude through MCP (Model Context Protocol). Create an API key in the integration settings, and your AI assistant can work directly with your Autaxo data.

    More Improvements

    • Complete profit per vehicle: additional costs from the original purchase invoice are now included correctly in the vehicle’s profit view.
    • Customizable tables: columns in data tables can now be shown or hidden individually.
    • Unified integration settings: every integration is in one place, with guided DATEV setup and step-by-step instructions for mobile.de.
    • Document delivery: the customer’s email address is prefilled when documents are sent.
    • Better vehicle image classification: a new classification model assigns photos to the correct category more reliably.
    • More precise amounts: transaction amounts now accept up to six decimal places.
    • Noticeably faster: Autaxo now loads and responds considerably faster and more smoothly overall.

In Progress: Email, WhatsApp, Instagram, and mobile.de in One Inbox

We are working on a central inbox for customer inquiries. Emails, WhatsApp and Instagram messages, and mobile.de inquiries will all arrive together in Autaxo. The launch is coming soon.

  5. Minor v 6.1.0 June 23, 2026

Autaxo 6.1: Interior Images in Studio, Expanded Cost Allocation, and New Templates

A follow-up to v6.0: Autaxo Studio now optimizes interior photos and processes multiple images in parallel, cost allocation also covers purchase invoices and multiple vehicles, and new document templates include DOCX import.

AI and automation Inventory and vehicles Contracts and invoices UX and performance

    The Highlights

Autaxo Studio: Now for Interior Images Too

The AI image studio now also optimizes interior photos. Until now, the focus was on exterior views and background removal. The complete image set for a vehicle can now receive consistent treatment, including the cockpit and seats.

Expanded Cost Allocation: From Purchase Invoices and Across Multiple Vehicles

The cost allocation introduced in v6.0 now covers more cases. Costs can be assigned directly from purchase invoices to one or multiple vehicles at the same time, including the gross amount. Expenses from consolidated invoices therefore reach the correct vehicle quickly without entering each line item again.

New Contract and Document Templates, Including DOCX Import

There are new standard document templates with reusable building blocks. Custom templates can now also be brought into Autaxo through DOCX import instead of being rebuilt.

Faster Image Studio: Multiple Images in Parallel

The image studio now processes jobs in parallel instead of one after another, with a clear limit on concurrent jobs. Larger image batches are therefore completed faster. Images can also be reclassified on demand.

    More Improvements

    • Decimal quantities in document line items: line items now accept decimal quantities, such as liters or hours.
    • Create a transaction using a net price: a new transaction can now also be entered directly using the net price.
    • Further improvements to AI document recognition: extraction from purchase invoices has been refined again with revised recognition prompts.

    In Progress: Dealer Referral Program

We are working on a referral program that will reward dealers for recommending Autaxo. The feature has not yet been enabled, but the launch is close.

  6. Major v 6.0.0 June 16, 2026

Autaxo Studio, Market Value Analysis, and Greater Reach Through mobile.de

This release puts selling at the center: Autaxo Studio becomes a standalone AI photo studio, the new market value analysis provides VIN-based pricing guidance, and mobile.de imports and exports can now be controlled for each vehicle.

AI and automation Inventory and vehicles Marketplaces DATEV and accounting

Status: All features described in this release are live in Autaxo and available to every dealership account, with no early-access program. Credit-based features, including AI vehicle images in Studio and market value analysis, use the credits included with the plan. Additional credits can be added at any time.

    The Highlights

Autaxo Studio: The AI Photo Studio as a Standalone Entry Point

Autaxo Studio becomes a standalone product with its own photo-studio page and direct signup. Phone photos taken on the lot become sales-ready vehicle images: backgrounds are removed and replaced using AI, and the look stays consistent across every listing. New credit packages cover image needs flexibly, from a single vehicle to a large inventory.

Assign Costs to Every Vehicle: Actual Profit per Vehicle

A feature many dealers have been waiting for: costs that are not directly attached to a vehicle, such as detailing, transport, repairs, and fuel, can now be assigned to the vehicle file as additional costs. Autaxo therefore shows the actual contribution margin for each vehicle: actual profit per vehicle at a glance, kept clearly separate from the tax margin under Section 25a UStG, the German VAT Act.

Market Value Analysis: VIN-Based Vehicle Valuation

New to the feature set, market value analysis uses the VIN to calculate a market-based reference value from comparable vehicle listings. It includes a recommended market price, market range, and median, delivered directly as a PDF report from the vehicle file. This makes pricing during purchasing and listing faster and more robust. Each analysis uses credits from the monthly allowance included with the plan, with additional credits available as needed.

mobile.de: Control Imports and Exports per Vehicle

For mobile.de imports and exports, dealers can now decide separately for each vehicle whether to transfer images and vehicle details. There is no longer a blanket requirement to import or publish every vehicle with all data. You decide exactly which cars and which content appear on the marketplace.

    More Improvements

    • AI document recognition with new extraction logic: purchase invoices and documents are read more accurately using revised recognition prompts.
    • Cash book is live: the digital cash book for cash transactions is available, including document uploads and handoff to DATEV.

    In Progress: Dedicated Dealership Websites

Behind the scenes, we are working on another growth feature: a dedicated dealership website generated directly from Autaxo, where vehicle inventory appears automatically as listings. The feature is already in development but has not yet been enabled. It will launch in one of the next releases.

    Try It Yourself

The fastest way to see the new features is in the fully configured demo dealership account. With sample inventory and sample data, you can click through Autaxo Studio, market value analysis, and per-vehicle cost allocation without entering your own data.

  7. Major v 5.0.0 May 17, 2026

AI Photo Studio, New Contract Editor, and Automatic Templates

This release makes vehicle presentation much faster and contract creation more accurate for each tax treatment, with the right template for the transaction and no manual searching.

AI and automation Contracts and invoices Tax logic Inventory and vehicles

Status: All features described in this release are live in Autaxo and available to every dealership account, with no early-access program and no additional charge.

    The Highlights

AI Photo Studio for Vehicle Images

A dedicated studio area for all vehicle photos: images are classified automatically as front, rear, interior, or detail shots, while backgrounds are removed and replaced using AI. A phone photo from the lot becomes a sales-ready listing image. The workflow from photo to listing on mobile.de and AutoScout24 is now faster.

    Completely New Contract Editor

A new editor for purchase and sales contracts with a streamlined interface, fast operation, and clear structure. Contracts can be written quickly in the background without losing focus during day-to-day business.

The Right Template for the Right Tax Treatment, Automatically

Autaxo recognizes the tax treatment, transaction type, and customer type, then preloads the appropriate standard template automatically: Section 25a UStG margin scheme, standard VAT treatment, intra-Community supply, or third-country export. Once configured, Autaxo suggests the right template automatically. This is especially helpful for an intra-Community supply to a business customer in Poland on a Friday afternoon.

    Create Showrooms from a Template

New showrooms can now be created from an existing showroom. This is useful when setting up multiple locations or brand areas.

    New Employee Invitation Flow

Inviting colleagues to an Autaxo account now takes only a few clicks, including clear role assignment at first login.

  8. Major v 4.0.0 April 22, 2026

Qualified VAT ID Confirmation (eVATR) Directly in Autaxo

For intra-Community supplies, qualified confirmation under Section 18e UStG provides more robust documentation. Autaxo now integrates the German Federal Central Tax Office's eVATR procedure directly, including company-data matching and a timestamp on the transaction.

    Tax logic Contracts and invoices

    The Highlight

Qualified VAT ID Confirmation (eVATR) Is Here

A basic VIES query primarily confirms whether a foreign VAT ID is valid. For more robust documentation of an intra-Community supply, known in German as an innergemeinschaftliche Lieferung (igL), qualified confirmation under Section 18e of the German VAT Act (UStG) is relevant because additional company data submitted for the query, including company name, legal form, city, and postal code, can be matched and documented.

Autaxo now integrates the eVATR procedure of the German Federal Central Tax Office (BZSt) directly. Specifically:

    • When an intra-Community supply invoice is created, Autaxo retrieves the qualified confirmation automatically
    • The result, including the company-data match, is documented with a traceable timestamp on the transaction
    • During an external tax audit, a documented, timestamped qualified query is available instead of only a VIES check mark

VIES continues to run in parallel as usual for basic EU plausibility checks.

    Under the Hood

    • Dedicated service for VAT ID validation: fast responses and automatic retries during outages of the external BZSt or EU systems
    • Faster creation of contracts with EU business customers: validation runs in the background

Note: Qualified confirmation under Section 18e UStG supports careful documentation for the good-faith protection provided by Section 6a(4) UStG, but it does not replace the other requirements and evidence needed for a VAT-exempt intra-Community supply.

  9. Major v 3.0.0 March 31, 2026

Autaxo 3.0: Drafts, batch imports, live invoice previews, and a much faster Autaxo

Save transactions as drafts, import documents in batches, preview invoices live before generation, and use a consistently fast application even with large inventories.

Contracts and invoices AI and automation UX and performance Inventory and vehicles

    The Highlights

    Save Transactions as Drafts

Transactions no longer need to be completed in one sitting. An in-progress transaction can be saved as a draft, with or without VAT ID validation, with missing documents, or with required fields still open. Autaxo checks completeness only when the transaction is finalized. This is useful for a sale on Saturday when the invoice will not be finalized until Monday.

Batch-Import Documents and Cash Book Entries

Upload multiple purchase invoices or cash receipts at once to Autaxo instead of clicking through them individually. The batch import includes a preview, classification, and transfer to the correct transaction. This saves hours when a month’s documents have accumulated.

    Live Preview Before Invoice Generation

The editor displays the finished invoice directly as a PDF preview, including the logo, customer data, and VAT disclosure. Changes to line items or master data update the preview live whenever the transaction changes. Write, review, and approve in one workflow.

    New Invoice Template

A freshly designed standard invoice template with a clear structure, a professional appearance, and precise role labels, including for sole proprietors.

    AI Summary for Transactions

Carlo generates an automatic summary for every transaction: when it was purchased, when it was sold, the margin, tax treatment, and outstanding documents. This is useful when handing a case to the tax advisor or reviewing its current status.

    Carlo Now Streams Responses

Carlo’s responses appear word by word as they are generated. Waiting feels considerably shorter, and long answers become readable sooner.

    Bulk Download of All Invoices

Use “Download all invoices” with active filters such as quarter, tax treatment, or customer to create a ZIP file. This makes the month-end handoff to the tax advisor a one-click task.

    Inventory and Vehicle Data

    • Dedicated VIN page for vehicle research and quick data entry
    • More data from the VIN: make and model are now retrieved dynamically from Vincario, providing more current and complete master data
    • Vehicles without a VIN can be created, which is relevant for classic cars, trailers, and special cases
    • “Top 5 critical inventory vehicles” as a new dashboard widget: see the vehicles with the longest time in stock or the most tied-up capital at a glance
    • New deal view for each vehicle: all purchase and sales transactions in one place

    Speed and Clarity

    • Server-side pagination in all large tables, including inventory, transactions, invoices, and VAT ID validations, stays responsive even with more than 1,000 vehicles
    • Customer column in the invoice overview supports searching and filtering without opening the detail page
    • Expanded filters in the invoice overview for tax treatment, status, and period
    • Expanded onboarding checklist: the logo, cash book, and document import are now part of the guided setup

    ”What’s New” Directly in Autaxo

A new section in the sidebar displays current features, notices, and updates inside the application, so users no longer need to search for the release notes on the website.

    More Improvements

    • Cash book: consistent monthly calculation across time zones using UTC
    • Invoice generation for transactions with no recorded mileage
    • VIN entry with multilingual validation messages
  10. Major v 2.0.0 February 21, 2026

Autaxo 2.0: New invoice generator, DATEV integration, and inventory import from mobile.de

Version 2.0 introduces the new invoice generator with supplementary invoices, a direct connection to the DATEV API, and imports of existing vehicle inventory from mobile.de. It also brings an expanded vehicle trade register and a new onboarding experience.

DATEV and accounting Contracts and invoices Marketplaces Tax logic Inventory and vehicles

    The Highlights

New Invoice Generator, Including Supplementary Invoices

In addition to purchase and sales invoices, the new invoice generator supports supplementary invoices for detailing, transport, warranty services, and other ancillary items. Each invoice is assigned cleanly to the relevant transaction and receives the correct tax treatment.

    Activate the DATEV Integration Directly

The connection to the DATEV API can now be activated directly in Autaxo. Accounting entries and supporting documents go to the tax advisor without a detour. It is the foundation for monthly accounting without passing CSV files back and forth.

    Import Vehicle Inventory from mobile.de

Dealers moving to Autaxo from another dealer management system (DMS) or directly from mobile.de can now import their existing vehicle inventory from mobile.de, including images, equipment, and prices. Getting started with Autaxo now takes minutes instead of hours.

    Expanded Vehicle Trade Register

    • Date-range selection without restrictions: select any quarter, fiscal year, or custom period
    • Filter by document date for exact period allocation
    • Proper German thousands and decimal separators in exports

This makes the vehicle trade register flexible enough for external tax audits, annual financial statements, and custom analyses.

Days in Stock Based on the Purchase Document

“Days in Stock” now uses the purchase document date as its basis. This is more precise for tied-up-capital analysis and inventory valuation, even if a vehicle was not entered in the system until several days after purchase.

    Onboarding Checklist

The new checklist widget on the dashboard guides users through the first steps: set up the dealership, review templates, create the first transaction, and connect DATEV. A visible progress bar always shows where you stand.

    Annual Subscription Available

Autaxo is now also available as an annual subscription, with savings compared with the monthly plan.

    More Improvements

    • Language switcher in the dealership wizard: even the initial setup runs in the preferred language
    • Vehicle placeholder images are generated automatically when no photos are available
    • Smart tax logic right at the field: contextual tax guidance appears exactly where it is needed
    • Related links on the invoice detail page: transaction, vehicle, customer, and documents are visible in one block
    • Vehicle ID column and a filter for archived records in inventory tables
    • Flexible customer assignment within a transaction: customer data can be updated at any time
    • VAT ID validation PDF with the Autaxo logo for document retention
  11. Minor v 1.2 December 28, 2025

Autaxo 1.2: New invoice and contract layout, faster Carlo, and mobile.de enhancements

Year-end release: a new invoice and contract layout, Carlo on a new Gemini generation, and more convenience in workflows and the mobile.de handoff.

Contracts and invoices AI and automation Marketplaces Tax logic

    The Highlights

    New Invoice and Contract Layout

    • Invoice PDF: a new multi-line footer with phone number and country, a clear “VAT ID:” label, and structured bank details, including automatic hiding of optional fields
    • Sales contracts: bank details shown as a table in Section 4, with the document number listed directly in the contract
    • Document management: contract documents can be selected individually and removed as needed

Carlo on an Updated AI Model

Carlo has moved to a new generation of the Gemini model, providing faster and more precise responses while transactions are being processed.

    Expanded mobile.de Handoff

More details now flow into the mobile.de handoff: power ratings (kW/hp) are transferred directly, vehicle descriptions are passed in a structured format, and image linking provides clear status feedback from the marketplace.

    Automatic Completion of Proof-of-Arrival Tasks

As soon as the proof-of-arrival document, known in Germany as the Gelangensbestätigung, is in the system, the related “Upload proof of arrival” task is automatically marked complete. That removes one step from the EU export workflow.

    Workflow and Usability

    • Automatic kW/hp conversion for vehicles: enter either value and the other field is populated
    • VAT ID autocomplete automatically separates the country code from the number
    • Customer column in the transaction overview: quickly see who is behind each transaction
    • Dashboard KPIs display full monetary amounts
    • 15 additional ISO country codes are available, including the US and other third countries
    • Transition animations between transaction steps make day-to-day operation smoother
    • Feature request button in the navigation: one click to send suggestions directly to us
